I co-own the local dress shop with my three sisters--specializing in wedding gowns for curvy women. We have a groundbreaking opportunity to partner with the local bakery and the newest Forever Yours, Mail Order Bride franchise set to open in our small mountain town of Temptation Ridge in a few weeks. The only problem is that an old, grumpy recluse of a mountain man owns the perfect, empty office space that would connect all three businesses.

Given the fact that I’m known as the best saleswoman around, that makes me the perfect person to convince the grumpy old mountain man to sell the building to us.

The only problem is when I reach his secluded cabin in the mountains, I’m in for the shock of my life—he’s not as old as I was led to believe he was, which throws me off my game. Intending to return a different day after I have a chance to regroup, I try to leave but end up stuck in the mud and stranded with the grumpy mountain man until the rain stops and the mud tries.

Living deep in the mountains makes my job on the search and rescue team a perfect fit for my secluded lifestyle. Living alone is also what I prefer, that is, until a beautiful lost stranger ends up on my doorstep.

There’s something about her that I can’t quite put my finger on. But thanks to about six inches of rain in a short amount of time that washed out the dirt roads, she’s stranded with me for the next couple of days. Giving me enough time to figure out the mystery surrounding her because there is definitely something she’s hiding from me.
